Oppo, I just spoiled a book for a class mate. I thought she had read up to the part already, but she didn't. Oh well.

Just make up a fake spoiler about something that happens later in the book. That way she'll never trust your spoilers. It's also hilarious, I do it all the time.

Oh, yeah, the book. You'll be alright. I completely f'ed up someone's surprise birthday present once. And I haven't talked to them for over a decade. Guess that didn't matter much long-term.
"If you don't want to hear a spoiler, don't look at a computer, watch TV, or go outside your house," I always say. I just made that up.
